Chinese Domain Name Consortium Meeting in Taiwan

The meeting was held in the conference room of TWNIC on Nov.27/28 2000. The major topics of it are:

1． The current situation report on registry system of TWNIC and CNNIC (including demonstration). The policy of registration, special words need to be held, registry system, coordinate registry process between registry and registrar, how to deal with disputation and fee charging and some other matters were discussed.

2． The current situation report on resolution for Chinese domain name of TWNIC and CNNIC (including demonstration). Such matters, including the frame of mDNS, Encoding, Client, proxy and how to coordinate with resolution between registry and registrar, were discussed carefully.

3． The current situation report on Chain Table (one of the important parts of CDNS) of TWNIC and CNNIC (including demonstration). Implement and skill of it, relevant policy and Internation Standard of it were also discussed at the meeting. 

4． The interchanging and cooperating for traditional and simplified Chinese Character between TWNIC and CNNIC. Interchanging Table for traditional and simplified Chinese Character and registry data. And registry data in common use were discussed also. 

5． Some other matters, such as, the update of resolution software and client software, e-mail for Chinese Characters, bind, sendmail, webmail, mail client/server, were discussed in detail.
